How to Subscribe To The Show

  1. Simple is GOOD! Thank you Leslie for the reminder and all the great tips. I have to be honest, I was listening and doing other tasks at the same time and it means I got both things done half as good as they could be! I am going to turn off everything else and listen again and this time take note. I felt this podcast deserves that much attention. God Bless you are well Leslie!

    1. Glad you got value from this short episode. It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot. It’s actually kinda counterintuitive, but if you simplify things, you get more done. It’s all about focus.

  2. Create Content, connect with real people, optimize my sales funnel…! Simplify Email, Create a universal Business System then work the system, simplify promotions and social media and automate as much as you can while remaining genuine! Got it!!

  3. I went to the Internet Prophet conference last year in Chicago, and the best advice I received from Joel Comm was to focus on one blog only: especially because I am working one and a half jobs right now. It was hard to let go of the other blog, and I still have it going live, but I’m putting all my effort into the other one. My challenge is to Connect with Real People and Optimize my Products/Sales Funnel. I’ve got the weekly blog post down, but those next two areas need work.

    1. Those two are definitely challenging, but doable. You need to think about where your audience is and what they are looking for. Then, you go there and offer tons of value. There’s a lot involved with that, but it’s definitely doable.

  4. I appreciate your bright spirit, easy teaching style and your contribution to my life and biz! Thank you Leslie.

  5. Thanks for this post Leslie. I really need this information right now.
You mentioned that you will soon be launching a membership site. I wanted to ask what membership software you are using . There are a number of choices out there and it can get a bit overwhelming.

  6. Hi Les,

Yes, 5 good tips. I basically agree with you on the first three points. I think number 3 is a tough one, since I’m not making many sales yet, but feel that I do have to make some tweaks in my setup or content to promote products. Number 4 would be guest posting as it does attract more traffic (have seen the results on Google Analytics) Number 5 would be simplifying my email system, this would be something to think off in the near future.
Wish you and your family well, Greetings, Hans

    1. Glad you got value from it Hans. Yep, #3 is tough when you aren’t making sales, but it’s still something that can be worked on. Optimization is always important, whether you are optimizing for 1 sale or 100. But, you do it all in stages. You work on what’s important for you, because that will be different from what’s important for me. Keep on pushing!

  7. Hey Leslie, Great episode … I am all about simple … not easy but simple :-). Question: I have finally decided the theme for my blog and I have a rough blog set up but I want to find someone to work with who can help me finish it with all the vital elements, theme, subtitle, security, plug-ins … I am wondering if I should go to Elance to get freelance bids for this or is there a better way you can suggest?

  8. Thank you Leslie, this was off the charts IMPORTANT!

I agree with not promoting everything. And time management is paramount I like the top 3 things– that is tough to pin down sometimes.

I really appreciate the time you put into this training today. I have 3 blogs. I have thought about shutting one down.I also started dabbling in kindle, so I am all over the place because I have 2 other things I want to do.

What about BAB 2.0? Will your continue this even though you are starting another membership site ( or will that be the new site).
l still use this site and am presently learning audio from you. Thank you for that

I still haven’t found training on video, screen capture power-point and how to service it .ect.

For instance, I know you use a service but this podcast seems to be embedded on your website.

Do you know of any detailed training on media? How do people learn all this?

I have spent hours on it and —well—I think I am a broken record. Be well! Mary

    1. HI Mary,

Become A Blogger will always continue to be a priority for me, and I will continue to share the lessons I’m learning. It’ll only get better.

I don’t have any training specifically on that, but if you are using a mac, I highly recommend – for screen capture. I don’t know of any good training on powerpoint though.

      Hope that helps!

  9. Leslie,
Would you show the schematic for setting up the mixer, 2 laptops, mic.and the recorder.
I need to know the specific cables to use.

  10. Thanks for sharing this short, but rather interesting episode Les. I agree, it can become very overwhelming when you have multiple blogs to build, or tasks to perform.

  11. Thank you for your advice, Leslie! I always learn something new from your podcasts. By the way, I’ve implemented a lot of things from your podcast on Facebook interaction from a few weeks ago, and now I’m finally getting more interaction on my FB page! When this started happening, I was ecstatic!
Thank you for what you’re doing!
