106 Start a Blog and Launch a Product – A Case Study with Moutassem Hammour

When Moutassem Hammour contacted me and told me about how he launched his blog 6 months ago and then created a product, launched it and made $500, I was EXTREMELY excited.

Not just because he was able to make money. He is actually blogging about something that is helping people. Ok, so here are a few of the details:

Moutassem is a Chiropracter living in France. He decided to launch a blog about meditation because he had experience with the topic and has seen first hand how meditation helps so many people.

His blog is in French and is called Pratiquer La Meditation.

He knew that he wanted to turn it into a business and decided that the route to go was creating a digital product. After going through my Product Creation Simplified and Product Launch Simplified courses (you can find those on my courses page), he basically did EXACTLY what I covered in those courses and is thrilled with the results.

In this interview, we basically dissected what he did, one step at a time. Yes, it's kind of strange that I would basically have him describe ALL the steps he went through, which is basically giving away almost all the details of what I cover in the course, but I was so excited that I just wanted him to share it all. Why? Because one of my main goals is to help you TAKE ACTION.

So, we dove into:

  • How he started his blog
  • How he used Facebook Ads to grow his exposure quickly – this is something I haven't covered ANYWHERE!
  • How he created the product – in great detail.
  • How he launched the product – the exact steps
  • How he made $500 from a list of 350 email subscribers

This is good stuff, and I think you'll be excited after listening to it.

    I found it interesting because, I blog in French too even if I’m bilingual. For me blogging in French is a niche by itself. The “French market” is not that small too. In North america we are 7 million and then you have a lot of Africain countries where people speaks French and for sure you have France, Switzerland, Belgium, etc… So it is approx an “untapped” market of 100 million people.

    Great interview I got definitly lots of insight here. I was not sure to start my blog in French or English or do both. There are lots of good advises from Moutassem and I was curious to know: how did he manage to conduct the suvey before the creation of is own product?
    Did he had to use a software for it or did he just send an email with a list of open questions to his list?
    That’s really very valuable information to get to know because it inspires me to do the same for my blog.

    What I find most inspiring about it is that the actions Moutassem took and the results he’s gotten so far are all realistic. I know lots of marketers push case studies of wildly atypical results to try to motivate people, but they’re not always motivating.

    When I listened to the interview, I thought, “Wow, this is so reasonable. I don’t have to feel intimidated.” That’s a precious feeling because with all of the “get big results fast” marketing campaigns, some of us get overwhelmed and think if we can’t match those atypical case studies, we’re doing something wrong.

    I love how Moutassem says we should focus in the beginning on feeling good about what we do rather than on getting material results. I almost feel sometimes like those marketers who push wildly atypical case studies are challenging that. We don’t have to make thousands of dollars in our first six months. We don’t have to make $100,000 in our first year. I see the monetary rewards in the beginning as more of a sign that what we have to give is of value to people.

  8. Great and very inspirational podcast! Inspired by Moutassem, I bought a Snowball and are now recording content for a course I will launch soon – very interesting :-)!
    I have a technical problem, though: I get an echo sound in my recordings. I’m using a Mac and Garageband. I have tried different settings and also to edit the sound after recording but it doesn’t at all sound as good as Moutassems recordings. Can you give me an advice on what I’m doing wrong?
